The story of this device
Measuring a razor-thin 25mm in profile, the Ricoh R1 integrated a dual optical system switching between a sharp 30mm f/3.5 and an ultra-wide 24mm panoramic mode. Featherlight and radically flat, it laid the direct design blueprint for the iconic Ricoh GR series.
