The Panasonic Toughbook U1 was a fully rugged handheld UMPC certified to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards, shrugging off 6-foot drops, mud, and driving rain. Equipped with a sunlight-viewable 5.6-inch screen, hot-swappable dual batteries, and a backlit thumb keyboard, it was virtually indestructible.
